Solar energy is a global sector, concerning the production of electrical and thermal power by direct conversion of solar radiation in semiconductor photocells.

Solar energy is the main direction of development in this sphere. It consists in the direct transformation of solar emission into electric power with semiconductor photocells usage. At the present time more than 90% of photocells are producing in the base of crystalline silicon according to trichlorosilane using technologies.  

Polysilicon production technology

Nitol Solar's existing TCS production facilities and its 70-year heritage in the Russian chemical industry position mean the company is well positioned to enter this new market. Nitol Solar will produce polycrystalline silicon using the Siemens technology, which is based on the hydrogenous recombination of TCS.
